Durham Miners Gala
The gala is held annualy on the second Saturday in July in the city of Durham. Also known as 'the big meeting' it attracts many of the residents from around Durham as well as visitors from far and wide.
The Durham Regatta
The regatta dates back to 1834 and is the second oldest in the UK. It predates Henley regatta by 5 years! The event attracts up to 10,000 people and has other attractions which run alongside it, but the main event is the racing between the rowing teams.
Kynren
The outstanding, outside show of Kynren began in 2018 and has been a hugely popular event located in Bishop Auckland, just outside Durham. The 'epic Tale of England' may not be historically correct but will dazzle spectators with light shows, jousting and epic battles throughout our history.
